Jason Bargwanna has introduced a new sponsor to his Rock Racing team’s portfolio, with rental company Rent NT adorning the windscreen stripe on to the #11 Rock Commodore in Darwin.
The Rent NT sponsorship deal will see the company’s logos remain on the #11 Kelly Racing-prepared Commodore VE for the remainder of the season.
Rent NT is specialises in truck, van, utility and bus rentals.
Bargwanna, who finished on the podium in the V8 Supercars’ inaugural visit to the Hidden Valley circuit in 1998, said that he was pleased to introduce a new sponsor to the category.
“It’s great to have a local company on board here in Darwin as well as with us for the rest of the season,” said Bargwanna.
“All the people at Rent NT are big V8 Supercar fans and really, Darwin is an event where the entire town gets behind the event.”
The 38-year-old is confident he can turn around a recent spate of bad luck in the heat of Darwin.
“Right from the first event at Hidden Valley I have been competitive here and enjoyed this circuit,” he said.
“Last year it wasn’t a great race for me so I’d like to bounce back this season and I think a top 10 is definitely achievable, so we are aiming to be right up there this weekend.”
V8 Supercars’ first practice session for this weekend’s Skycity Triple Crown kicks off at 10.30am tomorrow morning.
